(OPENPRESS) July 26, 2005 -- Aloetrade, a growing Latin American aloe company with operations in Argentina, and representatives in Mexico and Chile has launched a new innovative healthy product: the aloe marmalade.
This new gourmet and functional food is made of aloe saponaria, a south african aloe variety which grows well into the dessert areas in Argentina.
Aloesap aloe marmalade is ideal to serve on toast in breakfast and in cakes and puddings. "Aloe saponaria is the ideal choice for a marmalade because it taste much less bitter than traditional aloe vera or ferox, giving a smooth taste into the final product" said Ruben Avaro, CEO of Aloetrade.
The aloe marmalade was developed with the aloe pulp by Aloetrade in Argentina, and comes in a 460g glass jar ready to sell on retail distribution channels. Aloetrade also offers private labelling too. In August, the product will be available in Italy for reselling to other European markets. "We are also including the product in our e-commerce sites" Avaro commented.
Product is manufactured in Argentina and comes from the Aloetrade own aloe plantation in Córdoba state. Even when Argentina aloe plantations are not large as Mexico, Dominican Republic or Venezuela, most of aloe commercial cultivation is with this variety, which accordingly to HPLC analysis, shows less aloin than others, with higher attractiveness to the food and beverage industry. Also, their taste less bitter than other varieties, and the polysaccharides, vitamines, enzimes and minerals are quite the same than traditional aloe vera L.
