Omega 3 - Cholesterol free - Chia Products - Argentina
In most industrilized nations, a large number of food manufacturers are trying to replace animal-derived trans and saturated fats in a wide range of products with healthy oils like chia, canola, flax, fish or marine oils.
Aloetrade just started to offer two new Omega 3 products: chia oil and chia flour, which can be offered to meet the manufacturers specific needs.
Although soy has been used in place of trans- and saturated fats in the past, food companies are looking for a functional food ingredient much appropriate, and chia is being accepted as the natural product to offer such benefits. In North America and Europe, food companies are searching for ways to reduce the trans fats in their products. In January 2006 new legislation comes into effect in the United States that will make it compulsory for food manufacturers to label trans fats in their products.
Given the publicity that has surrounded this impending legislation, a number of companies have been taking steps to reduce or even eliminate trans fats such as Frito-Lay, which has reformulated all its potato chip brands. The chia oild and flour is the right way in the way to produce functional foods with full benefits for the healthy consumers.
Cholesterol-free omega-3 chia oil and flour is being used in the formulation of new products, such as hamburgers, milk, yoghurts, ice cream, hard and soft cheeses, different sauces and delicatessen products.
